I love everything you write and personally would LOVE to see the other stuff too ... But touching politics or other stuff now is toxic and I would hate to see you lose people on that.
How about you start another newsletter that it is for free to start with (you can subtly promote here) and then if it takes off you can charge for another subscription.
Be cautious about the other essays. My question is what are you optimizing for? If you want reach on AI I'd skip it. If you are looking for your 100 true fans embrace it. Maybe start another newsletter?
Also - as a musician if feel I need to add a correction.. neither Allmans nor Skynyrd has a pedal steel player in the band, nor is there any pedal steel on any their core albums… George Jones, Buck Owens, Emmylou Harris would be better references.

To explain the mistake, I originally wrote about how they blended southern rock like Allman or Skynrd, and then added a pedal steel versus the more typical slide guitar. In the copy edit, I mistakenly blended the ideas together trying to make the section shorter. Thanks for the callout!

Ha - all good - the only recommendation is excellent - completely missed them, and def worth hearing - thank for turning me on to them.
