The hack isn't the part that stuck with me.
It's what came after:
They rebuilt the server.
Patched the exploit.
And kept training the same models.
I hit a tiny version of that this month.
A wrong figure survived a full rewrite of my own files.
Why?
Because...
It was the anchor string every later pass searched for.
So every check I ran navigated by the broken thing.
Scale that up to a training run.
It stops being funny.
